Family Tennis At CTC For 2019/20 Season!

We are very excited to confirm the return of CTC’s original Family Fun Friday initiative and innovative Family Skills & Fitness session on Friday 15th March, following their winter breaks! This is one of our flagship initiatives which continues to grow and develop, and no doubt played a part in us being named Tennis Wales Club of the Year 2018!

From Friday 15th March, you can get on-court with your family and friends to enjoy up to 3 hours of tennis every week at Family Fun Fridays between 4pm and 7pm.
Non-members can use our fantastic facilities for just 50p per person, while members can enjoy playing for free as part of their membership. We also offer free use of equipment (rackets and balls) and Head Coach Jon is always on hand to give beginners a few pointers as well as advise on our coaching programmes and answer any questions you may have.

After a brilliant launch last year, our Family Skills & Fitness session will also return this season, running every Friday at 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
This session is split into two halves – the first concentrates on developing general sporting and tennis specific skills through various activities, while the second consists of Cardio Tennis style drills for you to build up a sweat and burn lots of calories on-court. All activities will have varying levels of difficulty and adaptations to cater for all ages, abilities and experiences. This session costs CTC members just £1 each and non-members £2.

Getting on-court with your family is not just a a fantastic way for new people to get started with tennis at the Club, but also allows current players to get an extra bit of playing time if they wish to. If you enjoy playing with your family so much, we offer a Family Fun Friday Annual Pass as a membership package. This is £10 per individual or £15 per duo and enables free play at Family Fun Fridays as well as the discount on our Family Skills & Fitness session! With this membership, you can also enter the Wimbledon Ticket Ballot via free British Tennis Membership, vote at the AGM and join our committees.
