Caerphilly Tennis Club

The Club will be holding a work day at the Club on Sunday 9th March, between 10am and 1pm. This is to do some small jobs inside the clubhouse and major gardening/clearing around the grounds, in preparation for our 25th season where we will be hosting a range of events. (The following Sunday at the same time may additionally be used too.)

So we are making an appeal to all players/parents to spare any amount of time to help us achieve this on the specified date above.
– Children can play tennis on court while parents help out.
– Please try to bring your own basic gardening equipment (clippers, rake, spade etc) and dress appropriately if wanting to help outside.
– We will provide refreshments on the day to all of those who help out.

The club are looking to select a committee at the Club’s 2014 Annual General Meeting (A.G.M) who want to help move the club forward even  further as we enter the new season. The 2014/15 season is of certain significance as we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary, more information on this available here.
Any help which you can offer now or during the season is appreciated, whether as part of the newly elected committee or normal member of the club.

This year the A.G.M will be held on Wednesday 19th February 2014 in the clubhouse and start at 7pm.

As promised, here is our first bit of news regarding our upcoming 25th anniversary season.

In the build up to our 25^th season, we are running a competition on both our Facebook and Twitter sites. All you have to do is follow us on Twitter (@CaerphillyLTC) and/or like our Facebook page. A random winner from both Facebook and Twitter will then be chosen, with each winning £25 off membership at the Club for the 2014/15 season!
And remember you can interact with us on Twitter and Facebook further, just use the hashtag #CTC25. Use it any posts/tweets, photos and mentions.

(Competition runs from 3pm on Sunday 26^th January until 3pm on Sunday 23^rd March.
Winners to be contacted by Wednesday 26^th March, and have until Wednesday 23^rd April to submit their membership application to receive the £25 prize discount.)

Caerphilly Tennis Club will celebrate its 25^th anniversary during the upcoming 2014/15 season!

The committee have already got some big events planned to commemorate the occasion, and you will also have your chance to have your say and get involved, soon.

Over the next week or so, we will be releasing information on events in the near future at the Club, running a competition for your chance to win £25 off membership for 2014/15 and asking you for your ideas to help us celebrate our 25th anniversary.

The new term of coaching at the Club starts next week (week beginning Monday 6th January 2014).

The Club will hold its annual Christmas Party for all children who attend weekly coaching sessions on Friday 20th December, between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Also, get burger and chips if you book a place before Friday 13th December. Members – £5, Non-Members – £6.

The party will include plenty of tennis games, as well as other party games with plenty of prizes to be won! Brothers and sisters are welcome to attend too.

We’re happy to say we are part of South Wales Echo Wish 2013 again this year after colleting nearly 5000 tokens last year & receiving £100.
So, get collecting from 02 October til 30 November to help us get a share of £25,000! And why not ask family and friends to help collect tokens too? Then put tokens in the collection box at the Club or hand to coaches. Thanks!
