CTC are excited to make use of the LTA’s Team Challenge and have done so for several years now with many successful events under our belt. So much so, that CTC was named in the shortlist of 6 clubs for the inaugural Benenden Tennis Festival Venue of the Year 2016!
We regularly host festivals and match weeks throughout the year, for all ages at the Club.
- Match Weeks take place during regular coaching sessions and sees players split in to Red and Blue teams as they compete in fun activities to earn points for their team. We switch between a skills based challenge week and then a matches/point based challenge week throughout the year. Each session has a winning team as does each lesson set as well as an overall weekly team winner – currently Blue team 8 week wins, Red team 3 week wins.
- Festivals are special events that tie in to major events (Davis Cup/Fed Cup ties, Wimbledon, Halloween and more) and see players of all ages come together in small teams to compete in fun themed games, challenges and matches. There are rewards for event winners, hot shots and best sportsmanship.
