The CTC Schools Tennis Programme is spearheaded by Head Coach Jon who has built links with many local schools in recent years as a way to give more children the chance to try tennis as part of their school day. With varying levels of partnership with schools, the programmes are tailored to each school and always include invites/offers for children to continue playing tennis should they wish to do so.
Each June we run our Wimbledon Roadshow, taking tennis in to local schools and offering free tasters for a range of year groups, from Reception to Year 6.
In 2024, Head Coach Jon visited 11 schools and delivered to over 1,800 children!
CTC are the host venue for the Caerphilly Schools Tennis Competitions each year for both primary (Years 3/4, 5 and 6) and secondary (Years 7, 8 and 9) in partnership with Sport Caerphilly and Tennis Wales.
CTC also assist Sport Caerphilly with their school provisions where necessary as well as supporting their Legacy Games event every summer!
