– During the Easter Holidays, we will be running a condensed schedule of coaching as detailed here. All Juniors will take part in the second Team Challenge Match Week which will be point/match based, while we will also extend this initiative to all Adult groups for the first time! Our recently returned Family Nights, made up of Family Fun Fridays and our Family Skills & Fitness session, will run as normal on both Fridays during the holiday.
– Following another week of fully booked Mini Tennis Camps during February half term, they will return for 4 days during the 2 week holiday on Monday 6th April, Wednesday 8th April, Wednesday 15th April and Friday 17th April. Running from 10am to 3pm, they are a perfect blend of tennis coaching, games and matchplay as well as other sports/activities for 6 to 14 year olds. Players should dress appropriately for the weather and must bring food and drink for the day. We also run a small tuck shop for treats at lunchtime too.
Price per camp: CTC members £7, non-members £9. Payment via cash or cheque (made payable to Caerphilly Tennis Club). Spaces are limited and so advise you book in advance to guarantee your child a place. This can be done by printing, completing and handing in the booking form, by contacting CTC Head Coach Jonathan Morgan on 07891 640642 or at email@example.com or via the CTC social media platforms. Please read the CTC Mini Tennis Camp Booking Terms and Conditions before booking.
– Finally, after some rain delays, we have rearranged our Adults Australian Open Team Challenge event for Wednesday 15th April at 7pm. New for 2020, we are launching a Grand Slam Team Challenge series for our Adult section, where we will not only crown event winners but also add scores to a yearly leaderboard! At each event, players can enjoy some friendly competition with each other as we celebrate the first major tennis tournament of 2020. Players should register to play by writing their name on the entry list on the noticeboard inside the clubhouse, or by contacting Head Coach Jon directly. Entry fee: Member £2, Non-members £4.
– The committee also plan to host a Volunteer day to tidy up the Club and complete some odd jobs ahead of the new season. More information will be displayed on the new Volunteer/Fundraiser board inside the clubhouse.
